Baltimore’s Port Discovery museum features an array of different exhibits, such as KidWorks, Miss Perception’s Mystery House and The Soccer Field, just to name a few. Very young children can experience exhibits designed especially for them, such as the MPT Studio, which features karaoke, puppet shows and more. The newest addition to your family can learn and play in the Sensation Station exhibit – an exhibit for newborn babies and toddlers to learn textures, colors and shapes. The Wonders of Water exhibit is a new exhibit at the Port Discovery museum which helps children learn basic problem solving and improve their communicating skills. This water exhibit was designed with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) in mind and consists of activities and learning components such as the Bubble Hoop, Plumbers Park, Block Dock and much more. It doesn’t hurt to bring some extra clothes for the family because this attraction is a wet one! However, the museum does provide boots and slickers.
Port Discovery Museum always has new and exciting events for the whole family, so be sure to give the calendar a look to see what will be going on during your visit. On the first Saturday of each month, Port Discovery has Healthy First Saturday which offers information and activities promoting good health.
