AP source: Washington Commanders buy 200 acres of Virginia land for possible stadium site

This site is just over 20 miles outside Washington, about a 45-minute drive from RFK Stadium, which was the team’s home from 1961 to 1996. The Commanders’ current lease at FedEx Field in Landover expires in 2027.
